Very good job on this one, guys! I love ehhht! The blend of ham and cheese was not overwhelming at all (like how it is in pizzas). In fact, the cheesy taste is almost not there, but there's no doubt is there. The blend is so delicate you don't know what to make of it. But you don't fuss over it too much, because the bread is so soft and tasty it seems to be the point of this sandwich. There's only one glitch I can speak of: onions. They put too much onions on that first run.
Hopefully, if this will breeze its way through the scrutiny of all four brothers (poppy Mayong, tito Bingcol, tio Perok, and tito Lito) with flying A+++, then you will find this in all Mayong's bakeries soon.
Take a look at that!
And this!
I have high tolerance for sweets. This is why I'm addicted to it. The above goody has no name yet, but let's call it Oatmeal cookie (it sounds less fattening than, let's say, choco treat or death by choco or something).
Oatmeal cookie reminded me of Revel bars that you find mostly in coffee shops. But it's been a while I had a Revel bar so this one hit me at first bite like, WHOA! It was delish, very fresh-from-the-oven soft and unthreateningly sweet. The oatmeal half does not taste oatmeal and the choco half does not evoke sugar! fats! calories! It has such a pleasant taste to it.
If this passes tita Emily's scrutiny, this will be included in the Carmen's line of goodies soon.
